Position Overview If you enjoy working in an energetic environment and can balance software management with time on snow, the Snowsports School Supervisor/Scheduler position may be for you. This position is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Snowsports School by managing lesson scheduling, instructor assignments, and on-hill supervision to ensure the guest experience is seamless, safe, and enjoyable. Supervisors/Schedulers serve as the communication hub between instructors, guests, and leadership, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality guest service. This is a full-time, seasonal position that requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Scheduling & Coordination Check phones, emails, and Paradocs system for new lessons, guest requests, and staff updates.
Assign instructors to lessons:
accounting for product and guest requirements, the scheduler will consider instructor abilities, certifications, and work flow when assigning. Print and distribute daily snow reports and schedules. Keep accurate records of instructor assignments and guest lesson details. Monitor lesson flow throughout the day, reassigning instructors as needed for last-minute changes. Ensure instructors know their assigned lessons and have all necessary details about guests Track no-shows, late arrivals, and changes to itineraries; assist guests in rescheduling when possible. Maintain radio communication with other departments to support operational flow. Ensure employees receive minimum guaranteed hours when possible. On-Hill Supervision, as a member of the
Snowsports School Management Team:
Oversee lesson areas, ensuring all signage, fencing, and setups are complete before lessons begin. Make morning sweeps to confirm readiness and verify tablet/equipment are charged. Check that guests have rentals before lesson times; coordinate with the rental shop if needed. Direct guest traffic before lessons, helping children and families find their instructors. Monitor lessons on-hill, especially children s and beginner groups, ensuring safety and smooth operations. Step in to assist instructors with group splits, behavioral issues, or safety concerns. Engage guests and create solutions when issues arise. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times and respond to on-hill incidents as needed. At the end of the day, conduct sweeps to ensure areas are cleared and equipment taken down. Guest Service Serve as a visible point of contact for guests with questions about lessons or schedules. Communicate professionally and clearly with parents regarding lesson details, progress, and safety. Address guest concerns or scheduling conflicts with empathy and solutions-focused thinking. Support Guest Services with lesson-related issues as needed. Team Communication & Support Keep leadership informed of staffing or operational issues. Collaborate with the Director and Assistant Director to identify areas for improvement and discuss daily challenges. Contribute topics and observations for morning meetings. Act as a mentor and support system for instructors, helping them problem-solve during the day.
Qualifications Include:
Previous experience in a Snowsports school, ski resort, or guest-service role. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Clear communication and interpersonal skills with both guests and staff. Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-oriented under pressure. Comfort working outdoors in winter conditions.
PSIA-AASI
certification or lesson instruction experience is an asset but not required. Weekend, holiday, and peak-period availability.
