JOB SUMMARY

Concept Components is a precision machining shop with Milling, Turning, and Swiss machine capabilities serving demanding industrial and aerospace customers. We are adding an manufacturing engineer to generate methods, quotes, and CNC programs. This role is designed for an experienced Machinist, CNC Programmer, or Manufacturing Engineer who is ready to join the leadership of a top shop. CNC machining and programming experience is required for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Expediting — Respond to customer inquiries for job status with accurate and timely production and delivery information. — Respond to customer Open Order Reports aligning customer needs to shop schedule — Maintain visibility on Customer needs and Sub-Contracted work through to completion. Purchasing — Send inquiries to Vendors to perform sub-contract and processing work — Follow-up with sub-contract and outside processing vendors for job status and delivery timeline. Provide vendors with prioritization on incoming work. Customer Service — Manage sales email to properly get customers in touch with information they need such as RFQ, Order Status, etc. — Manage incoming phone calls and take detailed messages to provide rest of team with information on customer needs. Scheduling — Work to develop shop schedule in line with customer and manufacturing priorities using information from Shop Supervisors/General Manager to ensure on-time delivery and minimize facility downtime. — Communicate customer needs and deadlines to Shop Supervision and assist in aligning production priorities on the shop floor with schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required — 2+ years working a manufacturing environment as an expeditor, production planner/scheduler, or buyer. — Understanding of Supply Chain and Production-Flow in Manufacturing Environments — Experience interacting with Customers in a customer-service capacity. — Comfortable answering phones, taking detailed notes, and interpreting/answering email. — Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office Suite(word, excel, powerpoint, outlook). — Highly organized and detail-oriented. Preferred — 5+ years working a manufacturing environment as an expeditor, production planner/scheduler, or buyer in a CNC machining environment — Exposure to and understanding of CNC manufacturing processes and finishing processes — Experience managing production schedule — Familiarity with ERP software (JobBOSS, E2, Epicor, or similar). — Experience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100-certified environment.
