- Home Health Our Home Health Schedulers are an important part of our home care team and serve as a primary point of contact for our caregivers, clients, and families.
Schedulers coordinate non-skilled home care services by matching qualified STNAs, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers with clients based on their care needs, schedules, and availability. This is a fast-paced, multitasking position that combines scheduling, customer service, administrative responsibilities, and front desk/reception duties. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working in a busy office environment, and able to manage multiple priorities while providing excellent service to caregivers and clients. As a Home Health Scheduler, you will: Schedule non-skilled home care visits according to client care plans, needs, and caregiver availability Coordinate STNAs, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers for client visits Communicate with caregivers and clients regarding schedules, call-offs, late arrivals, changes, and coverage needs Respond quickly to last-minute scheduling changes and help ensure client visits remain covered Maintain accurate scheduling information and documentation in the appropriate systems Provide excellent customer service to clients, caregivers, and families Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate department or team member Assist with front desk and reception responsibilities, including greeting visitors and assisting individuals who come into the office Handle multiple phone calls, scheduling requests, and administrative tasks throughout the day Perform general office and administrative duties such as filing, data entry, photocopying, word processing, and other clerical tasks Work closely with other office staff to communicate staffing and scheduling needs Provide backup assistance to other departments as needed Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude when communicating with clients, caregivers, and office staff To qualify for a Home Health Scheduler with us, you will need: Previous scheduling, customer service, healthcare, staffing, or office experience preferred Home Health Care or healthcare staffing experience preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle frequent schedule changes Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite Ability to learn scheduling systems and other healthcare-related software Professional and friendly phone etiquette Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to work independently while also being a dependable member of the office team At Interim Healthcare Home Care, our patients deserve the very best
