REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma and four years work-related support experience of a progressively responsible nature OR a satisfactory equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license within obtain within 90 days of hire date.
  • Prior court operations experience preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
  • Specific knowledge or experience related to assigned department or program area; experience working with the public.
DUTIES:
  • Draft and independently prepare legal documents, motions, complaints, subpoenas, indictments, warrants, extraditions, and other material of important, and often confidential, nature ensuring timely filing. Prepare necessary materials for trial. Research information to support document preparation.

  • Coordinate preparation of staff and material for grand jury, criminal and civil trials. Establish and maintain docket of arraignments and cases with dates, notify appropriate people. Notify and/or subpoena all appropriate people.
  • Receive documents from law enforcement and other public agencies. Perform LEDS queries.

  • Design, compose and type various correspondence, legal documents, forms, graphics, and reports; perform complex word processing and data entry; type from dictation, rough draft, or notes.
  • Typing rapidly and accurately; use of complex office equipment which includes automated equipment and systems; processing information on a computer; taking and transcribing dictation either manually or by machine.
  • Assist public in person and by telephone; answer a wide variety of questions; interpret information requiring knowledge of departmental policy and procedure in order to provide assistance, exchange information and solve problems; assist public in obtaining various materials, information and in completing forms, permits and licenses.
  • Receive, record, and distribute incoming department mail, process outgoing mail. Deliver to post office or shipping agency.
  • Maneuvering up to 34 pounds, pushing, reaching, sitting, standing, and walking.
WAGE:
  • $3,827 to $5,128 per month.
