Full-Time Schedule Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Overtime on Fridays as needed Hours and overtime may fluctuate seasonally based on production demands. Position Summary Mueggenburg USA is seeking an organized, dependable, and adaptable Operations Assistant to support the daily activities of the Operations Manager while also providing hands-on assistance in manufacturing whenever production requires additional support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety throughout the workday. Responsibilities may include administrative work in the office one moment and assisting on the production floor the next. The Operations Assistant serves as a resource wherever needed, helping ensure day-to-day operations continue to run efficiently. The primary focus of this role is assisting with administrative tasks, recordkeeping, documentation, and general operational support. During periods of increased production demand, employee absences, vacations, or slower office workloads, this position will assist the manufacturing team with production and packaging activities. The Operations Assistant may also occasionally assist the CEO with special projects or administrative assignments. Primary Responsibilities Administrative Support Working directly with the Operations Manager, responsibilities include: Perform data entry and maintain operational records. Scan, file, organize, and archive both digital and physical documents. Assist with maintaining production, safety, and operational paperwork. Prepare spreadsheets and update tracking logs. Print production documents, labels, and other operational paperwork. Assist with organizing company records and filing systems. Copy, scan, and distribute documents as needed. Answer phones and assist with general office duties. Receive and distribute incoming mail and packages. Assist with miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned. Manufacturing Support When production needs require, assist manufacturing personnel by: Feeding and operating production equipment. Packaging and labeling finished products. Operating a forklift. Moving raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility. Recording production information and completing required documentation. Assisting with equipment cleaning and sanitation. Supporting warehouse activities as needed. Helping maintain clean and organized work areas. Assisting wherever needed to support production goals. Additional Support Assist with occasional company projects as assigned by the Operations Manager. Provide occasional administrative assistance for special projects requested by the CEO. Perform other duties as assigned to support daily business operations.
Qualifications Successful candidates should possess:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer applications. Comfortable learning new software and office systems. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed. Ability to transition between office work and manufacturing work throughout the day. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Preferred Qualifications Administrative or clerical experience. Manufacturing or warehouse experience. Experience working in food manufacturing or GMP environments. Forklift experience is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Physical Requirements Applicants must be able to: Lift and carry 50 pounds regularly. Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, twist, squat, kneel, climb, push, and pull throughout the workday. Perform repetitive tasks. Work safely in a manufacturing environment containing natural botanical dust. Safely operate basic production equipment after training. Work Environment This position is split between office and manufacturing environments. Some days will be primarily administrative, while others may involve significant time assisting production. The ideal candidate enjoys variety, is comfortable changing priorities throughout the day, and is willing to step in wherever assistance is needed.
