Deposit Operations Coordinator (part-time) Juniata Valley Bank is seeking a Part-time Deposit Operations Representative to play a role in supporting the administration and maintenance of deposit accounts while ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal procedures. In this position, you'll review new account documentation, process account-related requests, conduct account research, support fraud monitoring efforts, and help maintain efficient departmental workflows. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented individuals who enjoys working behind the scenes to support administrative and operational excellence. Candidates can work:
6 to 6½ hours per day, 3 days per week, or 4 hours per day, 5 days per week. Scheduling is flexible, with opportunities for either morning or afternoon hours based on department needs and candidate availability. Key Responsibilities Review and verify new account documentation for checking, savings, and certificate of deposit (CD) accounts Process and maintain deposit accounts and related services Research deposit account information and respond to account inquiries Complete paper and online account verification requests Process special-rate requests for new time deposits Review and monitor dormant accounts Monitor accounts for potentially fraudulent activity Monitor restricted-status accounts and unfunded new accounts Complete departmental scanning and record maintenance activities Provide backup support for functions such as: Return Mail processing Mobile Deposit processing
Requirements:
Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent; business related coursework a plus Minimum of one year of related banking, financial services, operations or administrative experience Experience handling multiple priorities with deadlines Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Solid reading, writing, math, and computer skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines Customer-focused mindset for supporting both internal and external customers Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly Commitment to demonstrating our values of being Committed, Caring, Connected, and Capable
