Description The Trench Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of trenching activities within the rental and leasing services industry. This position is responsible for overseeing trench excavation projects, coordinating equipment usage, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. The specialist will collaborate closely with project managers, equipment operators, and clients to optimize operational workflows and minimize downtime. A key outcome of this role is to ensure trenches are excavated accurately and safely to meet project specifications while protecting personnel and equipment. Ultimately, the Trench Operations Specialist contributes to the successful delivery of trenching services that support broader construction and infrastructure initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid certification or training in trench safety and excavation operations.
Experience operating trenching equipment or related heavy machinery.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards related to trenching.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
Certification in first aid and CPR.
Experience working in rental and leasing services for construction equipment.
Familiarity with environmental regulations affecting excavation projects.
Strong project management or supervisory experience.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise trench excavation activities to ensure adherence to project timelines and safety protocols.
Operate and manage trenching equipment, including rental machinery, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality.
