Job Description

Overview The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Responsibilities Primary responsibility is to operations leadership and day-to-day operations in a vitrification facility: Being onsite during operations (requires occasional shift work) Timely ordering and accurate tracking of all consumables and spare parts required to support GeoMelt processing schedules Maintaining the GeoMelt Maintenance and Calibration Tracker , including spreadsheets and forms to monitor daily, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance activities. Collaborating with various vendors to schedule maintenance and manage instrument calibrations. Perform project document control functions Perform limited hands-on duties necessary to support GeoMelt Operations Seek assistance from senior Veolia staff as needed Must be capable of wearing a respirator as needed This position is required to possess proficiency in computer applications including email and spreadsheets. Employee must also have the ability to effectively communicate with various technical and managerial professionals. Must have the ability to adapt to working in a constantly changing work environment. Accountabilities Compliance with operating procedures, work instructions, and ESH&Q requirements Knowledgeable on technology and equipment deployed within the respective facility Safely performing facility operations within conditions of a Radioactive Materials License and Hazardous Waste Permit Work Environment This job takes place in operational facilities and professional office environments. Environment is in a radioactive/hazardous waste treatment facility which requires compliance with conditions of a Radioactive Materials License and Hazardous Waste Permit. Work may occur in environments which are not temperature controlled. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls. Must be able to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, talk, and hear. Must be capable and comfortable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications Education & Certifications:
High School Diploma required
Experience & Requirements:
0-5 years of applicable technical experience Experience with system or component operations and maintenance is highly preferred
