Type:

full-time HumCap's client, a manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to join their operations team. This role owns the accuracy and timeliness of the production process, with a focus on making sure materials, goods, and workspace are aligned for optimal performance on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities Plan production schedules to meet delivery commitments; monitor progress against schedule via dispatch lists; flag risks to management and communicate the release of jobs into WIP. Keep all open production jobs current, updated, and correctly prioritized on the dispatch lists. Research and resolve issues on jobs or work orders projected to run past due. Coordinate across Customer Service, Sales, Purchasing, Shipping, and Production teams. Provide detailed delivery commitments for new orders. Maintain accurate scheduling data in the company's ERP/MRP system. Prepare management reports as required and analyze material usage variances. Manage the production order life cycle against established goals and inventory plans against established targets. Provide backup support to the broader production planning team. Conduct rough-cut capacity planning before publishing a dispatch list when significant changes have occurred. Serve as an internal resource on scheduling, training others across the company to build broader understanding of scheduling functions. Identify, negotiate, and resolve conflicts around material and capacity availability and order-promising integrity. Maintain scheduling parameters - lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times, and order file data - for all scheduled items. Build and maintain strong working relationships across every function in the company. Flag to management when demand can't be met and recommend alternatives to satisfy it. Required Qualifications 5+ years of related manufacturing experience in an MRP/ERP environment. Required ERP experience (PLEX experience a plus). In-depth understanding of routings, multi-level bills of material, lead times, and supply chain concepts. Ability to conceptualize supply chain and inventory flow. Strong presentation skills, one-on-one and in small groups, including with supervisors. Excellent organizational and customer service skills. Strong leadership abilities. Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Sound, independent decision-making and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail with analytical and mathematical ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team-oriented, with a sense of urgency and ability to meet schedule requirements. Preferred Qualifications Degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered. APICS training a plus.
