Monday to Friday, business hours aligned to production and customer requirements RGE Texas Molding, part of RGE Group, a global plastics injection molding company headquartered in the United Kingdom, is hiring a Production Scheduler & Customer Liaison for our Schertz, Texas facility. This role plans, schedules and controls production output so customer orders are delivered on time, in full and to specification, while acting as the day-to-day customer contact for order status, delivery updates, shipping documents and invoicing coordination. This is a practical, shop-floor-connected planning role. The employee must be visible in production, understand what is running, communicate with process technicians, operators, quality and maintenance, and use live operational information to keep the schedule realistic. Office administration and sales administration form part of the role, but the key value is connecting customers, production, quality, logistics and finance through accurate planning and clear communication. Role Purpose Create and maintain a practical production schedule based on customer demand, press capacity, tooling availability, materials, staffing, changeovers and quality requirements. Act as the named customer contact for order acknowledgements, progress updates, delivery windows, shipment advice and day-to-day customer liaison. Support accurate shipment paperwork and sales invoicing by matching quantities, prices, purchase-order references and delivery notes. Maintain schedule visibility between production, quality, logistics, finance and customers, escalating risks early and supporting practical recovery plans. Key Accountabilities Walk the molding floor regularly to confirm what is running, what is waiting, where constraints exist and whether the schedule reflects reality. Convert customer orders into executable production plans, sequencing jobs by due date, tooling, material, color, staffing and changeover requirements. Plan tool changes, first-piece approvals, process validation windows and production priorities with process technicians, quality and operations. Monitor work-in-progress against plan, including shots, cavities running, scrap, downtime, remaining quantities and completion status. Coordinate resin, colorant, additives, inserts, packaging and secondary operations so materials are available at point of use. Release and maintain work orders, job packets and planning system records, including quantities, dates, status, revisions and tooling references. Provide reliable order status, OTIF reporting and early escalation of risks to promised delivery dates. Prepare or check packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of conformity and shipping documentation as required. Raise or support accurate sales invoices upon shipment or agreed milestone, working with finance to resolve price, quantity, credit memo or aged-receivables queries caused by shipment or invoice issues. Maintain customer files, controlled documents and production records in line with the quality management system. Support internal and external audits by ensuring production, shipment and customer records are complete, controlled and audit-ready. Apply site safety rules and OSHA expectations while on the floor, raising safety observations, near misses or unsafe conditions through the appropriate process. Carry out any reasonable task requested by the manager within the scope of the role.
Qualifications Experience:
Proven experience in production scheduling, planning, production coordination, customer service or order management within a manufacturing environment; injection molding or plastics experience is strongly preferred.
Knowledge:
Practical understanding of production planning, customer order control, shipping documentation, invoice accuracy, ISO 9001 quality systems and basic manufacturing health and safety expectations, including OSHA requirements applicable to a production environment.
Skills:
Strong organisation, numerical accuracy, communication and prioritisation skills; confident using Excel, email, planning systems, ERP/MRP or similar business systems.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in business, operations, supply chain, manufacturing or a related subject preferred.
Other Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, able to work on site at the Schertz facility, comfortable walking the production floor, and able to work independently as part of a small team.
