In this dynamic role, you'll leverage your communication prowess to connect with individuals, uncover their needs, and schedule valuable appointments for our sales team. Role Overview As an Appointment Setter, you are the architect of our sales pipeline's initial engagement. You will be responsible for initiating contact with potential customers through outbound calls, identifying their insurance needs, and effectively qualifying their interest. Your primary objective is to secure appointments for our closers, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified leads. This role requires a keen ability to build rapport quickly and professionally, even without in-person interaction, and to manage your outreach efforts efficiently. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Collect signatures required for policies Handle reports and reach out to past-due policyholders for payment Send policy documents upon request by policyholders Complete certificates of insurance and insurance binder requests Conduct outbound calls to a high volume of potential clients, adhering to established scripts and outreach strategies. Engage prospects in meaningful conversations to understand their insurance requirements and identify potential needs. Clearly articulate the value proposition of State Farm products and services. Qualify leads based on predefined criteria, ensuring that appointments set are with genuinely interested and viable prospects. Schedule appointments for licensed agents, coordinating schedules effectively across phone, video, and email. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all outreach activities, prospect interactions, and scheduled appointments in the CRM system. Collaborate with the sales team to provide feedback on lead quality and prospect engagement. Continuously refine your communication and qualification techniques to maximize appointment setting success. Qualifications To excel in this role, you will need: A valid personal vehicle for business-related travel. Authorization to work in the United States. Must have active Property and Casualty Insurance or Life and Health Insurance licenses. Proven experience in a sales or customer-facing role, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust over the phone and via video. Proficiency in managing a pipeline of prospects and following through on outreach efforts. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to accurately record information and manage schedules. A self-motivated and resilient attitude, with the ability to thrive in a goal-oriented environment. Comfort and professionalism when communicating across phone, video, and written channels. Compensation and Benefits This full-time position offers a competitive compensation structure of a base salary plus commission, with an expected earning potential between $50,000 and $70,000 annually.
