Job DescriptionSummary Description:
Responsible for managing shipments, ensuring a smooth, timely, and accurate processing while maintaining strong communication with internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for workboard management, documentation, invoicing, and process compliance, while supporting team collaboration, continuous improvement, and KPI performance through proactive problem solving and a positive, team-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Process shipment settlements and communicate with origin and internal teams to provide timely updates and resolve operational or financial issuesMaintain a smooth and efficient freight process flow, ensuring all shipments move in a timely mannerProvide timely updates on shipment status, delays, or exceptionsRespond promptly to internal and external communication, using a polite and professional approachBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersParticipate in customer and internal calls as needed to gather and understand key informationCreate and maintain OneNote documentation for assigned responsibilities, ensuring all information is up to date and readily available to support training and knowledge sharingDevelop and maintain SOPs for new accounts, updating processes and information to reflect any changesEnsure timely and accurate invoicingComplete all required training hours and attend additional training sessions as neededDemonstrate a willingness to learn new processes and take on additional responsibilitiesBe a team player and support the team whenever needed, demonstrating a positive attitude, and fostering a respectful and collaborative work environmentCommunicate professionally and respectfully about colleagues and other departments at all timesTake ownership of issues by analyzing and working toward solutions and appropriately escalating to leadership when neededShow flexibility by supporting team projects and sharing relevant information with colleaguesMeet KPI standard, as per the company's proceduresQualificationsGlobal logistics industry knowledgeGood computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint)Fluent in EnglishPro-active, strong organizational skillsMaintain a can-do attitude, demonstrate positive energy, and actively support the teamEffective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive resultsAdditional InformationWe are seeking interns in both our Ocean Services and Transcon Departments.
Expected Salary:
