Fidelity Technology Services LLC, is seeking full-time (non-remote) Flight Schedule Writers supporting the Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) VAQ-129 located on NAS Whidbey Island, WA. Applicants are requested to provide a Cover Letter with their submission which details their qualifications and experience relative to the job expectations below: Qualifications FRS Operations Scheduler(s) shall demonstrate expert knowledge and/or experience coordinating / writing squadron level flight and/or simulator schedules for a Navy platform (preferably F/A-18). Demonstrate Operations and Maintenance experience within a Navy operational squadron (preferably with experience directly managing and/or executing aircraft flight schedules, ranges, or flight simulators execution). Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe) and aircraft / simulator scheduling tools to include SHARP and DCAST (qualifications similar to a Navy Ops Yeomen). FRS Operations Scheduler Support Responsibilities The following Support Responsibilities / Duties pertain:
Thorough understanding of the Master Syllabus Guide(s) and the scheduling / tracking of student throughput.
Prioritizing training flow and/or timelines to ensure students / classes meet established timelines / milestones for required Simulators, Flights, and Phase Detachments.
Draft / Write and disseminate "Rough" and "Smooth" Flight and Simulator daily schedules.
Rough Simulator Schedules shall be sent via the established distro list

All Smooth Flight and Simulator Schedules shall be sent via established distro lists

daily or as directed by the Operations Officer.
Manage the daily and long-term flow and priorities for all student syllabus-training events; manage and resolve all student scheduling conflicts with academics, simulator, watch standing and flight events.
Track all students to ensure each is in an "up" status to avoid disruptions in scheduling flows.
Track and manage student academic progress, simulator, and flight events, and ensure status boards / tracking reflect "real-time" up-to-date daily status.
Manage local utilization databases to track applicable mission data as directed by the Operations / Training Officers (i.e. flights, simulator, daily Contracted Instructor hours).
Maintain the Master Syllabus Guide data (error log, missing/incorrect syllabus event, event times, prerequisites, academic flows, changes) for Operations and Training Departments STAN requirements.
When directed by the Operations / Training Officers Scheduler(s) shall attend OPS / Maintenance Planning / Coordination Meetings, and Airspace/Simulator/Field Carrier Landing Practice (FCLP) Schedule Meetings to coordinate FRS scheduling requirements.
Coordinate with
FRS OPS REPS
to manage / schedule day-to-day as well as long-term FRS training priorities.
Document / track all correspondence regarding FRS coordinated simulator, ground, or academic training events.
Other FRS Operations Scheduling support as the Operations and Training Officers require.
