The Receiving Specialist position will be responsible for receiving all inbound domestic and international shipments. This includes all forklift parts as well as general receiving including supplies and building materials. Additionally, this position will be working with Production Operations Manager on job tasks, including cycle counting, tracking component parts on backorder to deliver to departments or other personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively closing work orders/jobs accurately in Plex per job in a timely manner.
- Detail oriented receiving of all parts and supplies. All parts and supplies must be checked to accurately meet the commercial invoice or packaging slip provided. Counting and verifying what we ordered has come in. Extreme detail is required.
- Receive all international service parts when containers or air packages arrive. These parts would then be put away in service parts locations. Cycle counting the part upon putting them into their storage location.
- Enter received containers into plex in a timely manner (i.e. when commercial invoice is sent and EP has shipped the product)
- Effectively track key component forklift parts in a timely manner. Communicate to departments or personnel when back-ordered items are arriving. Ensure we deliver these parts in a timely manner.
- Effectively move our inbound forklifts upon arrival and receipt from an in-transit location to an active, available location in our Plex system.
- Work with Production Operations Manager, cycle counting forklifts on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with production managers to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Understanding FIFO
- first in first out inventory. Working with production managers and production team to ensure our inventory is stored FIFO availability.
- Any other duties as assigned by Manager, Parts Fulfillment.
