Join our dynamic team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate and become a vital part of delivering exceptional customer ordering experiences in a fast-paced retail environment. The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for accurately receiving incoming merchandise, preparing and packing customer orders, and maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment. This position includes inspecting shipments for damage or discrepancies, entering products into inventory, labeling and stocking merchandise, picking and packing orders, and preparing packages for shipment through various carriers. The associate will also assist with inventory counts, local-pickup orders, loading and unloading deliveries, and maintaining shipping supplies. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining high standards for order accuracy, workplace safety, and customer service. Responsibilities Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Report damaged, missing, incorrect, or over-shipped merchandise to management. Accurately enter received products into the inventory system. Label, organize, and place merchandise in the correct warehouse or sales-floor location. Pick customer orders accurately using order sheets, invoices, or inventory software. Pack products securely to prevent damage during shipment. Select appropriate boxes, packing materials, and shipping methods. Print shipping labels and prepare packages for UPS, FedEx, USPS, and other carriers. Verify product quantities, addresses, and shipping details before orders leave the facility. Process orders from company websites, marketplaces, and live-auction platforms. Coordinate local-pickup orders and ensure they are properly labeled and stored. Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory. Keep shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe. Break down boxes, dispose of packing materials, and maintain shipping supplies. Restock boxes, labels, tape, and other packing materials as needed. Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles. Safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, carts, and other warehouse equipment. Help prioritize urgent, expedited, and high-volume orders. Meet daily expectations for accuracy, productivity, and order turnaround time. Follow all workplace safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures. Assist customers and coworkers with order-status or inventory questions when needed. Perform other warehouse, inventory, and store-support duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior experience in shipping preparation and inventory tracking is preferred.
