This position is responsible for building custom wooden shipping crates, safely packaging finished sign faces, and preparing orders for shipment. The right person will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work with basic tools in a shop environment. Responsibilities Build custom wooden crates for finished sign products. Measure, cut, and assemble wood materials accurately. Package signs securely to prevent damage during shipping. Use basic hand tools and power tools safely. Read order/job information to confirm size, quantity, and shipping needs. Inspect finished products before crating for obvious damage or issues. Label crates and assist with organizing outgoing shipments. Keep the crating and shipping area clean and organized. Follow all shop safety procedures. Assist other departments as needed. Experience Ability to read a tape measure accurately. (Required) Experience with hand tools, power tools, woodworking, construction, carpentry, or shop work preferred. Strong attention to detail. Dependable attendance and good work ethic. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Forklift experience is a plus but not required. Previous sign shop, manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday. Must be able to lift up to [50-75 lbs]. Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment.
