Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient movement of goods through accurate shipping and receiving processes, ensuring seamless inventory management and order fulfillment. Your proactive approach will help maintain optimal warehouse operations, support customer satisfaction, and uphold trade compliance standards. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments by inspecting, verifying, and documenting deliveries using warehouse management systems and inventory management software. Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, labeling, and ensuring proper documentation in accordance with shipping logistics and international trade regulations. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload trucks efficiently. Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry into ERP systems like AS400 or similar MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software. Coordinate with warehouse distribution teams to ensure timely order picking, packing, and order fulfillment while adhering to trade compliance standards. Conduct regular stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory management systems to support accurate stock levels. Support warehouse operations by assisting with stocking, packaging, and preparing shipments for delivery or pickup while maintaining safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics environments with familiarity in inventory management software and ERP systems such as AS400 or equivalent. Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, order picking & packing, and international trade regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes. Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts (certification preferred), pallet jacks, and order pickers safely. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to weights, volumes, and quantities. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy for maintaining detailed records of shipments and inventory movements. Exceptional customer service skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external carriers.
