INVENTORY, SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK 1.0
Description The Inventory, Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, receiving and inspecting materials, preparing products for shipment, and supporting the movement and organization of materials throughout the facility. Inventory Duties A. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure physical inventory corresponds with quantities and locations recorded in SAP. B. Maintain an inventory accuracy goal of 99% or greater. C. Ensure all inventory and material movements are accurately recorded in SAP at the time the material is moved, including transfers, issues, returns, receipts, and location changes. D. Organize and maintain inventory, parts, racks, shelves, bins, and designated storage locations. E. Pull, pick, and stage parts and materials as required to support Production, Purchasing, Shipping, and other departments. F. Verify item numbers, quantities, descriptions, and locations when pulling, issuing, returning, receiving, or relocating inventory. G. Complete required inventory transactions in SAP, including material movements, transfers, issues, returns, receipts, and other applicable transactions. H. Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory counts as assigned. I. Research and report inventory discrepancies, including shortages, overages, damaged material, incorrect quantities, and incorrect locations. J. Assist with investigating and correcting inventory discrepancies in accordance with established company procedures. K. Ensure materials are properly identified, labeled, stored, and returned to designated inventory locations. L. Stage materials and components required for production jobs and other internal requirements. M. Maintain inventory areas in a clean, organized, safe, and efficient condition. Receiving Duties A. Coordinate daily receiving activities and incoming deliveries. B. Load and unload incoming trucks and shipments using appropriate material-handling equipment. C. Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and other applicable documentation. D. Inspect incoming parts and materials for quantity, identification, visible damage, and other discrepancies. E. Report shortages, overages, damage, incorrect material, or other receiving discrepancies to the appropriate department. F. Complete required receiving transactions and documentation in SAP. G. Properly identify, stage, and route received materials to Quality, Inventory, Production, or other designated areas. H. Coordinate with Purchasing, Quality, Production, and other departments to resolve receiving discrepancies. I. Maintain receiving areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Shipping Duties A. Coordinate daily outbound shipping activities. B. Prepare customer orders and other materials for shipment. C. Pick, verify, stage, package, and protect products and materials to ensure safe transportation. D. Prepare required shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, packing slips, manuals, labels, and other required paperwork. E. Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, customers, agents, and internal departments as required. F. Schedule or arrange freight pickups and communicate shipping requirements to applicable parties. G. Verify items, quantities, documentation, and shipping information before release of shipments. H. Maintain adequate packaging and shipping supplies. I. Process applicable shipping transactions and documentation in SAP. J. Assist with loading outbound trucks and shipments. K. Support the company's goal of accurate and on-time shipments. L. Maintain shipping and staging areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
General / Shop
Duties A. Coordinate material movement throughout the facility as required. B. Assist with material staging and inventory requirements. C. Assist with facility organization and housekeeping. D. Analyze routine work problems and assist in resolving inventory, shipping, and receiving issues. E. Recommend improvements to work procedures, material flow, storage, inventory accuracy, shipping, and receiving processes. F. Work cooperatively with fellow employees and departments to support production and customer requirements. G. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and required material-handling practices. H. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times when applicable. I. Safely lift and handle components weighing up to 80 pounds, with appropriate assistance or lifting equipment when required. J. Perform other duties as assigned. 2.0 Knowledge and Skills A. Working knowledge of inventory control, shipping, receiving, warehouse organization, and material handling in a manufacturing environment. B. Ability to accurately identify, count, organize, locate, receive, pick, stage, and track parts and materials. C. Ability to use SAP Business One ERP system to complete inventory, shipping, and receiving transactions. D. Ability to use barcode scanners and other inventory or material-tracking equipment as required. E. Ability to read and understand purchase orders, work orders, part numbers, packing slips, Bills of Lading, shipping documents, labels, and related manufacturing documentation. F. Understanding of applicable safety requirements associated with material handling, forklifts, lifting equipment, overhead cranes, and manufacturing operations. G. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain company-required forklift certification. H. Ability to communicate effectively with Purchasing, Production, Quality, Shipping, customers, carriers, freight forwarders, and other applicable parties. I. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. J. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 3.0 Education and Experience A. High School Diploma or equivalent. B. Previous inventory, shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred. C. Two (2) or more years of forklift experience. D. Previous experience with SAP Business One or another ERP/inventory management system preferred. E. Previous experience preparing shipping and receiving documentation preferred.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
