Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow of materials and goods, ensuring accurate and efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial verification for identification and potential damage on incoming and outgoing shipments. Manage the receipt and shipment of raw materials, finished goods, consumables, and chemical waste. Accurately process receiving and shipping documentation within SAP and/or spreadsheets. Dispense stability and raw material requests for R&D and GMP Manufacturing (API, DPI Components, etc.). Maintain inventory records, including warehouse inventories, stability samples, and laboratory consumables. Safely handle chemical and reagent receipts following safety guidelines. Operate material handling equipment, including gas-powered, electric, or manual lift machinery. Coordinate laboratory waste, inert gases pickups, and deliveries. Ensure compliance with cGMP, EH&S, FDA, DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory standards. Collaborate with team members, delivery drivers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL), and external vendors to ensure seamless logistics. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment. Strong SAP experience is required Ability to lift over 50 lbs. regularly. Experience handling laboratory materials, inert gases, and medical device manufacturing equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Familiarity with safety protocols and material handling best practices. Steel-toe shoes required (not provided by the company).
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and carrying materials up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate in varying temperatures (5°C to 40°C). Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
