Job Description

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a manufacturing, warehouse, and shipping/receiving environment.

Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving materials up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Regular exposure to forklifts, material handling equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Occasional overtime or flexible hours may be required to meet business needs.

Position Summary:

The objective of a Shipping & Receiving Clerk is to perform warehouse activities such as tracking and maintaining inventory, shipping, receiving, disbursements, identification of parts, and supplies.

Essential Functions of the

Job:

Responsible for entering information in JD Edwards software system Responsible for performing all clerical functions related to the performance of job duties, including responding to all e-mail inquiries

Demonstrate the ability to follow departmental objectives, processes and procedures

Load, unload, and move material throughout warehouse areas

Develop proficient use of equipment and lifting devices not limited to forklifts, lift trucks, flat bed carts, hoists, and other lifting devices

Must be able to multi-task and meet all deadlines as assigned

Ability to complete all other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Possess the ability to read and understand both written and verbal instructions. Adhere to safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines

Report problems with quality, processes, and materials to Group Lead/Supervisor

Explores methods of improving efficiency, speed, and quality of work being done Maintains a clean and organized work area Must be able to work well with others

Ability to operate barcode scanners

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook

Basic knowledge of

Microsoft Excel Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education. Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
