Shipping and Receiving Clerk / Picker-Packer - $23hr Job Description This role supports warehouse operations by accurately picking, packing, shipping, and receiving products while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production and distribution activities. Responsibilities Accurately pick and pack products according to customer orders and specifications. Use hand scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to perform picking, packing, and inventory transactions. Inspect merchandise for quality and accuracy before packing and shipping. Prepare items for shipment, including proper packaging, labeling, and securing products to ensure safety during transit. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts as needed. Prepare orders for loading onto trucks for delivery while following all applicable safety regulations. Receive materials into the warehouse and ensure they are properly documented and stored. Comply with all warehouse safety regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Collaborate with other warehouse staff to meet daily order fulfillment targets and production needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Support general warehouse duties such as shipping, receiving, and inventory control as required. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working in supply chain, production floor, or warehouse environments. Experience working with quality control systems, preferably in a GMP, ISO, or HACCP environment. Ability to use hand scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS). Basic computer literacy, including the ability to type and work on a computer. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, packing, and documentation. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, dependable, and adaptable in a team environment. Ability to perform general labor and warehouse shipping tasks. Ability to work safely around forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in warehouse shipping and receiving operations. Familiarity with inventory control processes and warehouse inventory procedures. Exposure to regulated environments such as GMP, ISO, or HACCP facilities. Comfort working with production and quality control teams. Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Work Environment This position is based in a warehouse and production support environment with a primary schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will work around warehouse equipment such as forklifts and use tools including hand scanners, computers, and a warehouse management system (WMS). The work involves standing, walking, lifting, and performing general labor tasks in a fast-paced setting. The facility operates with established safety regulations, quality control systems, and inventory procedures, and expects team members to maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious work area. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Jefferson, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
