  • Job Title: Shipping Clerk
  • Job Description
  • The Shipping Clerk coordinates all shipping, packaging, and receiving activities for components, supplies, and materials in alignment with company and customer specifications.

This role ensures accurate processing of outbound and inbound freight, maintains required documentation and records, and supports inventory and receiving operations while working within a cleanroom and warehouse environment.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Coordinate all shipping, packaging, and receiving of components, supplies, and materials according to company and customer specifications.

+ Process all outbound shipments using the MRP system, ensuring all company and customer requirements are met.

+ Operate the MRP system to verify order information and accurately input required shipping and inventory data.

+ Perform shipping and packaging responsibilities for outbound and inbound freight, including packaging products, preparing documentation, and contacting carriers.

+ Handle international shipments in accordance with applicable processes and requirements.

+ Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records as required by industry standards and company practices.

+ Perform driving responsibilities to deliver or pick up merchandise in accordance with company requirements.

+ Cross-train in all essential functions of the Inventory/Receiving group to provide flexible operational support.

+ Assist the Inventory/Receiving group throughout the designated shift whenever primary shipping duties are completed.

+ Engage in effective teamwork, collaborating with colleagues from other departments to achieve shared objectives.

+ Balance organizational needs with customer requirements to ensure high levels of service and operational efficiency.

+ Apply goal-directed thinking and problem-solving in situations where no routine solutions exist.

+ Analyze information and workflows to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.

+ Interface professionally with the Accounting department and other internal stakeholders as needed.

+ Comply with all company safety practices and procedures while working on the manufacturing floor and in warehouse areas.

+ Perform other related duties as requested to support shipping, receiving, and inventory operations.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Valid driver's license with the ability to meet company requirements for driver insurance.

+ Proficiency in accurately operating a computer-based MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system.

+ Knowledge and proficiency with shipping and packaging processes and requirements, including domestic and international shipments.

+ Ability to cross-train and perform duties in other departments, particularly Inventory/Receiving, as required.

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, data entry, and recordkeeping.

+ Ability to read and understand shipment schedules and related logistics documentation.

+ Capability to work independently and as part of a tight-knit, competent team.

+ Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

+ Effective communication skills, including clear speaking, active listening, and professional interaction with internal departments such as Accounting.

+ Willingness to accept responsibility and accountability for assigned tasks and outcomes.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience with shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

+ Familiarity with cycle counts and warehouse inventory processes.

+ Experience with material handling and forklift operation.

+ Experience in a high-tech or semiconductor-related environment.

+ Comfort working in cross-functional teams built from multiple departments.

+ Demonstrated interest in ongoing learning and development, including responding constructively to feedback.

+ Ability to adapt to changing work demands and treat unexpected circumstances as opportunities to learn.

  • Work Environment
  • This role operates in a combination of cleanroom and warehouse environments within a professional setting that supports the manufacturing of components, systems, and service-related products.

The facility is ISO-certified and follows established industry and company standards. You may encounter some noise and plastic chips in the manufacturing area, with safety glasses recommended on the manufacturing floor outside designated safety corridors and hearing protection recommended near machinery. Compliance with company safety practices and procedures is required. The position involves standing and walking for the majority of the shift and the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds. The environment emphasizes a professional image in accordance with company appearance standards while working with modern material handling and inventory technologies.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tigard, OR.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $22.

00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
