Great Pay and Benefits!!! Day Shift SUMMARY Coordinates packaging, shipping, and delivery requirements based on production schedule. Provides production and customer support with necessary reports and information.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts final quality inspection on Products. Maintains accurate and current shipping list for proper reporting. Sets up delivery runs and schedules truck drivers. Provides timely and accurate daily shipping information. Packaging and building boxes and skids as needed. Instructs packers on packaging requirements. Operates forklift and uses staplers, nail gun, screw gun, and chop saw. Work within Work Instruction and Control Plan guidelines. Follow job safety guidelines. Label product and document any quality control and worksheet information. Communicate with operators from other departments. Clean and maintain work area. Maintain and turn off equipment when not in use. Perform other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist operators in other areas as needed. Work in other departments. Provide on-the-job training to new employees. Order materials when needed. Notify Supervisor for replacement tools or fixturing. Participate in Continuous Quality improvements by assessing procedures, processes, and practices to promote change.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery. Demonstrated skills in the use of and ability to read a tape measure. Conversion of fractions and decimals.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to thirty (30) pounds, a maximum of one-hundred (100) pounds. The job requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel toed boots, safety sleeves, and gloves when handling glass.
