About the role:

A Shipping/Receiving Material Handler is responsible for shipping and receiving and maintaining electronic logs and files about shipping and receiving. You will team with Planning and Global Logistics to support customer on-time delivery and packaging requirements. You will report to the Supervisor, Material Handling and Inventory Control, Westinghouse Parts Business.

Main Responsibilities:

Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.\nComplete goods receipt and maintain logs including data entry into SAP, Microsoft Excel, or other systems.\nVerify and reconcile reports and records.\nMaintain excellent service to our customers by following organization standards of quality and national standards of packaging best-practices.\nPackage material according to Purchase Order/Sales Order specifications and any other special packaging requirements or procedures.\nCoordinate hazardous shipping with Global Logistics and EHS department and package shipments per industry standards and DOT and IATA (Air), IMDG (Ocean) laws and regulations.\nDetermine method of shipment, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.\nUse small package and freight carrier systems to schedule shipments.\nCoordinate international shipping with Global Logistics.\nAssist delivery drivers with unloading or loading of freight. Communicate with internal customers and external suppliers on a daily basis.\nMonitor supply inventory and order crates or coordinate packaging of shipments.\nProcess and handle all incoming mail, ensuring routing and labeling.\nProvide facilities and warehouse support.

Qualifications:
