As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving department. Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring that all products are delivered to the correct location on time. Prepare and process shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, and shipping labels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. Collaborate with various departments to forecast shipping needs and plan accordingly. Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities using Excel and other relevant software. Resolve any shipping issues or discrepancies promptly and professionally, keeping all relevant parties informed. Develop and implement efficient shipping and receiving procedures to minimize errors and improve overall efficiency. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent any potential issues. Ensure all safety guidelines are followed during the shipping and receiving process to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry. Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and regulations. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various departments and external parties. A strong commitment to safety, demonstrating the ability to follow and enforce safe work procedures. A team player, with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
