View More Jobs Shipping Specialist- Level 2 Greer, SC, United States (On-site) Job Description In this role, you will impact overall supply chain efficiency by ensuring timely and accurate outbound delivery of materials and products, maintaining full material traceability, supporting production schedules, and upholding compliance with company policies and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Package and protect materials for shipment, selecting appropriate boxing, containers, and shipping methods based on product type and destination requirements. Apply appropriate labels and tracking information to packed materials to ensure accurate identification and traceability throughout transit. Process outgoing shipments and shippers through SAP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Identify and prioritize hot shipments to meet expedited delivery requirements. Process outgoing materials in FIFO (first in, first out) order to maintain proper inventory rotation. Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking systems, preserving material traceability in accordance with industry requirements. Maintain organized staging and shipping areas in accordance with 5S/visual management standards. Collaborate with warehouse and material teams to optimize shipping processes. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all shipping activities.
PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and perform repetitive lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a warehouse environment. Responsibilities
YOU MUST HAVE
Proven experience in shipping/warehouse operations within a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Strong knowledge of packaging methods and shipping systems. Ability to accurately package and prepare shipments in accordance with documentation and shipping requirements. Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards related to shipping and receiving. Experience using warehouse management software (SAP or similar ERP) and logistics coordination tools. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
WE VALUE
Additional certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus. 2+ years of experience in shipping and receiving or related logistics roles. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices in warehouse operations. Experience in an AS9100D or other regulated/aerospace quality environment. Forklift experience or certification. Qualifications
