PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Fulfillment Shipping Clerk at our mail order pharmacy, you will play an essential role in ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of medications to our patients. Your responsibilities will include managing the pharmacy's shipping processes, collaborating with pharmacy teams, and upholding our core values of integrity, compassion, dedication, collaboration, and resourcefulness. Your dedication to efficient and accurate medication distribution is crucial in providing quality pharmaceutical care. This position will report to the Fulfillment Manager.
KEY TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Medication Packaging and Shipping:
Accurately package prescription medications, ensuring compliance with labeling and packaging standards. Organize and process medication shipments with unwavering integrity and attention to detail. Verify the completeness and accuracy of medication orders before shipment.
Inventory Management:
Maintain organized and efficient medication inventory in the shipping area. Assist in restocking and replenishing medication supplies, collaborating with the inventory management team.
Quality Control:
Implement quality control measures to ensure the correct medications are packaged, labeled, and shipped. Address any discrepancies promptly and report them to the appropriate personnel.
Shipping Documentation:
Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including invoices, packing slips, and shipping labels. Ensure all shipments comply with applicable regulations and internal protocols.
Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and other team members to coordinate medication fulfillment. Communicate any shipping-related issues or delays promptly and work together to find solutions.
Efficiency and Resourcefulness:
Identify opportunities for process improvement in the shipping area and contribute innovative ideas to enhance efficiency and resourcefulness. Ensure orders are shipped in a timely manner while minimizing errors.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCIES
Strong attention to detail, commitment to data accuracy, and dedication to integrity. Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members. Basic computer proficiency for generating shipping documentation. Ability to lift and move medication supplies as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position operates within a clean and well-lit environment. May require standing or sitting for extended periods and the ability to lift and carry prescription orders or supplies.
