The successful candidate will manage operations at our receiving and redistribution dock and supplier and customer relationships. To thrive as an Operations Manager, you should have: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in logistics, warehouse operations, or a directly related industry. Minimum of 5 years' experience in teammate and team management, including hiring, teammate development, coaching, and performance improvement. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and analytical skills. Strong written and oral presentation skills, especially when interacting with executives and stakeholders using PowerPoint and other media. Proficiency in utilizing data for quantitative analysis, root cause analysis, and developing and executing action plans to achieve short
- and long-term objectives.
Proficiency in word processing, email, database, internet software, and other technology tools, with strong business intelligence, research, and strategy skills. Ability to directly supervise Operations Managers and warehouse teams, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, maintain a safe driving record, pass background checks, and be open to relocation based on contract awards or business expansion. Your responsibilities as an Operations Manager will include: Train and ensure employees adhere to all procedures and regulations BCL, customers, and other stakeholders set while upholding safety and quality standards. Provide hands-on leadership in a physically demanding environment, fostering a motivated, professional, and customer-focused team aligned with BCL's Core Values, Mission, and Vision. Interact with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to optimize operational performance, ensure quality control standards, and execute daily distribution objectives. Identify and resolve operational and maintenance issues to prevent delays, minimize costs, and enhance efficiency, safety, and performance. Manage scheduling, enforce company policies fairly, oversee opening and closing procedures, and meet all labor, quality, and delivery commitments.
