Summary:

The Warehouse Assistant Manager is responsible for materials management, inventory control and shipping/receiving at one of our established wholesale HVAC distributorships that carries multiple brands of equipment, parts and supplies. The ultimate goal of this role is to successfully manage the daily operations of all facets of the Warehouse.

Essential Duties/Accountabilities:

Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping and inventory controlManage and develop warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluationsImplement and maintain inventory control systems and proceduresEnsure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environmentOptimize warehouse layout and storage systems for maximum efficiencyCoordinate with other departments to meet production and shipping schedulesMaintain accurate records of inventory, equipment maintenance, and personnelManage warehouse budget and control operational costsLead and manage warehouse inventory: Cycle counts, annual physical inventory, as directed by Operations Manager.

Supervise and direct warehouse employees' activities and oversees daily operationsManage customer service requests and resolve issues promptlyManages all aspects of attendance, absence, overtime, and maintains accurate records for own area of responsibility.

Perform same duties as a warehouse worker, forklift operator and a selector, as neededComplies with health and safety programs.

Serve as the primary lead for all pick-up, shipping and receiving activities.

Insure customer service and service areas are maintained to the highest levels for all pick-up and delivery activities.

Perform general maintenance on all machinery and equipment on a regular basis according to manufacturer and specifications.

Direct and participate in the bin location maintenance of all areas of the Facility.

Communicate and train Warehouse personnel on Company policies and procedures regarding the safe and proper movement/handling of any product.

Insure proper training of personnel handling Company inventory to be in the most professional manner and to minimize damages and losses; training inclusive of forklift, appliance lift and Driver training.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of warehouse management experienceMinimum 1-2 years' Warehouse operational experience within the HVAC industry, parts and product lines associated with HVAC, preferably in the operations of a wholesale HVAC equipment supply house.

Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control softwareStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent organizational and problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practicesValid forklift certificationStrong inventory control and orders fulfilment processProven success in inventory controlProven success in managing and mentoring other employees.

Proficiency in air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level.

Ability to prioritize & meet critical deadlines.

Must possess the attitude of wanting to learn and grow with our Company.

Mechanical or Technical background.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Bachelor's or associate Degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to be mobile throughout the warehouse for extended periodsCapable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionallyAble to work in various temperature conditionsMay require standing, bending, and reaching

Work Environment:

Full-time positionRegular working hours Monday through Friday, From 7:30am to 4:30pmMay require flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
