Anvil Fence Company — Garden City, ID For 65 years, Anvil Fence has been the Treasure Valley's most trusted name in fencing. We're the oldest fence company in Idaho — and we're looking for a dependable, organized Yard Manager to run the heart of our operation. This isn't a sit-behind-a-desk job. Our yard is where every job starts and ends. If you take pride in a tight, organized operation and can keep your cool when our crews need to be loaded out in the early morning, we want to talk. Keep materials organized, accessible, and accurately inventoried so crews can load out fast and clean. Load crews in the morning. Pull and stage materials against work orders so installation crews can get to jobsites on time. Receive deliveries from suppliers. Verify quantities against POs, inspect for damage, and flag any shortages or issues. Check materials back in. Track leftover material returned from jobsites and restock properly. Run material pickups and dump runs. Drive a company truck with a trailer for hauls to and from suppliers, the landfill, and jobsites. Operate the forklift safely for loading, unloading, and yard organization. Perform monthly inventory counts and help maintain accurate material records. Keep the yard clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant. Coordinate with foremen and office staff on material needs for upcoming jobs. Pitch in on physical labor when needed, including lifting up to 80 lbs (concrete bags, post bundles, etc.). What We're Looking For 2+ years of forklift experience (we'll provide OSHA certification) Experience towing a trailer with a pickup or flatbed Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong organizational skills — you know where everything is and you keep it that way Self-starter who can manage the workload independently when the supervisor isn't around Comfortable reading work orders, material lists, and basic spreadsheets Able to work outdoors in all weather and stay on your feet Calm under pressure — mornings here are busy and you'll have multiple crews asking for things at once Nice to Have Fence industry experience or familiarity with chain link, vinyl, wood, or ornamental fence components Bilingual English/Spanish Experience receiving freight from suppliers Basic mechanical aptitude for keeping the forklift and small equipment running Schedule & Location Full-time, Monday-Friday , 8-hour shifts with overtime during busy periods In-person at our Garden City, ID yard (83714) Before You Apply Final candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
