Month Scope of Position:
The Plant Manager participates in and manages production in our seasonal production plant. The Plant Manager compiles reports as required and communicates with superiors on a regular basis. The plant manager must be present through the entire season which typically begins August 1st (+ or
- 15 days)
- November 15th (+ or
- 15 days). This is a great opportunity for someone interested in returning year after year.
- This is a seasonal position that lasts approximately 3 months. This is NOT a year-long, full time position.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversee and play a direct role in day-to-day production, warehouse organization, shipping and receiving as well as equipment maintenance and repairs. Oversee inbound and outbound freight. Load/unload trucks as needed. Employee training. Oversee approximately six employees. Evaluating and communicating employee performance. Establish a good rapport with employees, working to maintain a high level of employee morale. Communicate with Director of Operations in a respectful and professional manner. Produce reports including production, plant/equipment/vehicle/worker issues, etc. weekly or more as requested by upper management. Communicate with local contractors and vendors as needed. Be prepared to "think outside the box" and problem solve. Ensure that employees follow company safety policies and general safe work practices. Perform necessary equipment repairs as needed and see them through to completion in order to prevent downtime and production delays. Perform other duties as required and requested. Position:
Organized and patient. Able to manage a diverse group of employees professionally and fairly. Forklift experience. Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting background. Welding experience is a plus. Capable of ensuring tasks and projects move through the process to completion. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Agricultural experience preferred. PC application skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook). Clean driving record. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be on feet for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. (Naturally occurring dust from seed.)
