Shipping Supervisor Duties:

• Conduct and manage the daily operations of the shipping department
• Assemble and load shipments on semi-trucks, internal and external
• Create BOLs, Commercial Invoices, NAFTA documentation
• Manage/Supervise use of external trucking sources

• Coordinate and prioritize shipping activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products
• Supervise a team of shipping associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation
• Implement and enforce warehouse safety procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments, monitor inventory levels, and generate reports
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve any shipping-related issues or delays
• Optimize shipping processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of shipping terms, billing, and familiarity with international shipping
• Proven experience in team management and leadership
• Proficient in inventory control techniques and practices
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
