In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse distribution, ensuring smooth logistics, efficient inventory control, and safe handling of materials. Your leadership will drive process improvements, optimize warehouse management systems, and foster a team-oriented environment that promotes safety, productivity, and excellence. Duties Lead and manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling to ensure timely fulfillment of orders. Oversee the operation of forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to OSHA standards. Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste across distribution center activities. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software to monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and maintain accurate records. Coordinate logistics with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and e-commerce platforms to streamline distribution channels. Supervise warehouse staff by providing team leadership, managerial communication, training on safety protocols, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards while maintaining a safe working environment for all team members. Manage shipping & receiving operations, including scheduling shipments, verifying documentation, and ensuring proper handling of heavy lifting tasks. Conduct regular audits of inventory control processes using RF scanners and inventory systems to prevent discrepancies. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing warehouse processes and leading initiatives for operational excellence. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution center management with a strong background in warehouse supervision. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams in fast-paced environments. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and RF scanners. Strong knowledge of logistics principles, materials handling equipment operation (including forklift certification), and OSHA safety standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate material handling equipment effectively. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and coordinate cross-functional activities. Experience with lean management practices and process improvement initiatives within warehousing or supply chain settings.
