The Shipping & Receiving Manager will be instrumental in establishing and leading shipping, receiving, inventory management, material handling, and finishing operations. This role combines hands-on operational leadership with strategic process development, requiring an individual who can build effective systems, develop teams, and create a culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will oversee the movement of raw materials and finished goods, ensure product finishing activities meet customer and quality requirements, and drive operational excellence through data-driven decision making and continuous improvement. This is an onsite position with a schedule of Monday-Thursday, 6:00AM-5:30PM with the availability to work overtime and Fridays as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manage inbound and outbound logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory control. Ensure accurate documentation, labeling, tracking, and reporting of all shipments and deliveries. Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, customers, and internal departments to meet production and delivery schedules. Oversee inventory accuracy and maintain effective inventory management processes. Supervise part trimming and finishing operations to ensure products meet quality and dimensional specifications. Develop and implement standardized finishing processes to improve consistency and minimize waste. Train, mentor, and support team members in shipping, receiving, inventory management, and finishing operations. Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Identify and implement process improvements focused on efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost reduction. Monitor and report KPIs including quality, output, scrap, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures. Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, shipping and receiving processes, inventory control, and material handling.
Working knowledge of quality systems; ISO standards experience preferred.
Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience preferred.
Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Forklift experience preferred.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, and perform physical activities for 8-10 hours per day.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing operations experience, including quality control and machining experience. Previous experience leading or supervising teams in a manufacturing environment. Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check required. Note

Pay:
$80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
