: Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, and Inventory Control functions in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement, planning, storage, and distribution of materials required to support production and overall business operations. The successful candidate will develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, oversee inventory performance, and lead a team focused on delivering operational excellence. This position reports to the head of Operations.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Control operations.
Ensure material availability to support production schedules while optimizing inventory levels and working capital.
Develop and implement sourcing, procurement, and inventory management strategies.
Purchase electronic components, PCBs, metals, wire, MRO supplies, and other direct and indirect materials.
Review and negotiate supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and commercial terms.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance.
Analyze market trends, component availability, and supply chain risks within the electronics industry.
Oversee production planning, forecasting, inventory control, cycle counting, and annual physical inventory processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, efficiency, inventory optimization, and service levels.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales to support business objectives.
Maintain compliance with ESD, ISO, and ITAR requirements.
Perform additional job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, operations, engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of supply chain, materials management, procurement, or related leadership experience in electronics manufacturing.
Experience purchasing electronic components, PCBs, metals, wire, and MRO materials.
Proven experience with supplier management, contract review, and negotiations.
Experience with production planning, inventory management, forecasting, and ERP/MRP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 356 F&SCM preferred).
Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to occasionally to frequently stand, walk, sit, and use both hands.
Ability to occasionally to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
This is an onsite, full-time position located at our Camarillo, CA facility.
Client is ITAR Registered. Candidates must be U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
