Group Georgetown Not disclosed Permanent full-time Updated 05/10/2026 Human Resources (Guyana) Apply Now Share Share this job Facebook Twitter Report This Job Save Save The Internal Control Manager ensures that appropriate internal controls and processes regarding stock and fixed assets are being adhered to throughout the Guyana business, in order to secure business assets and reduce the risk of loss.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES
Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the Groups and Company's systems, policies and procedures Conducts reviews of processes to determine what gaps exist in the internal control policies or in the way the company adheres to them With Regional guidance, develops procedures to improve company's control processes and co-ordinate roll out and implementation Addresses questions from employees of the company regarding the Internal Controls policies or how to handle specific situations that arise Organises and manages stock counts on a weekly and quarterly basis Assists branches with monitoring stock and investigating variances Coordinates and manages cash counts and ensures that the company policies are in place and are being adhered to At least once per year, arranges a Fixed Asset count and with the Finance Department and ensures full reconciliation with the Asset register Any other tasks assigned that will assist in achieving the purpose stated above and/or the company mission
JOB SPECIFICATION
Qualification /
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or Level 2 ACCA certification Experience /
Skills:
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Finance or Accounting in a managerial position A thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other spread sheet applications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Personal Characteristics:
Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload. Ability to use own initiative and work independently. Detail-oriented Tactful and discreet
