Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and precision. In this role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring seamless operations that support our service and repair teams. Your expertise will drive efficiency, optimize supply chain processes, and foster strong relationships with suppliers. Duties Manage the entire parts inventory, including sourcing, ordering, receiving, and stocking to ensure optimal levels and availability. Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, maintaining strong supplier relationships through effective communication and negotiation. Oversee parts procurement management using ERP systems and inventory management software like AS400 or similar platforms. Implement demand planning strategies to forecast parts needs accurately, reducing excess stock while preventing shortages. Supervise warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, storage organization, forklift operation, and equipment repair. Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to assist with parts sourcing for vehicle systems and OEM components. Maintain detailed records of parts administration, data entry accuracy, and inventory control using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools. Collaborate closely with internal teams such as sales, service departments, and logistics to ensure smooth order management and customer service excellence. Monitor pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the automotive parts market. Support internal communication channels to streamline internal processes related to parts sourcing, procurement, and inventory updates. Requirements Proven experience in automotive parts management or dealership environments with a strong understanding of automotive service processes. Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement management, demand planning, logistics inventory management, and sourcing strategies. Hands-on experience with inventory management systems such as ERP platforms (e.g., AS400), CMMS tools, or other inventory control software. Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipping & receiving procedures and forklift operation certification preferred. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and automotive diagnostics is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills coupled with supplier management experience to secure favorable terms. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and parts administration tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, communication, and documentation purposes. Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams while maintaining excellent internal communication standards.
