Supply Chain Manager Job Description The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment. The role involves maintaining a safe and clean work environment, ensuring timely distribution while maintaining inventory control, and promoting efficient communication among suppliers, plant personnel, and customers. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with safety procedures, rules, and regulations. Monitor plant and warehouse space daily to ensure FIFO practices. Store and handle products using the safest, cleanest, most organized, and cost-effective methods. Supervise loading and unloading of raw materials and finished goods. Address past-due orders with urgency. Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to support logistics. Oversee team responsible for receiving purchase orders, fulfilling sales orders, and completing transfer orders. Conduct physical inventory counts of finished goods. Plan, assign work, and adjust schedules to meet production requirements. Hire, evaluate, and train logistics employees. Lead warehouse shift meetings and support team productivity. Manage warehousing, storage, and material-handling functions. Drive optimal performance from assigned resources. Partner with the Transportation Coordinator and Production Planner. Develop and present site performance reports. Collaborate with the VP of Logistics and Plant Manager on improvement initiatives. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in leading and developing teams. Ability to plan, assign, and direct work. Experience in appraising performance and coaching employees. Skill in developing guidelines, processes, and procedures. Resource allocation including budget and personnel management. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position operates in an office, manufacturing, and warehouse environment with varying conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exposure to moving mechanical parts. It may require work outside regular business hours in a fast-paced and highly productive setting. The role is on the 1st shift. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Franklin, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
