Methuen CDJR — part of The Best Automotive Group — is opening a brand-new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram dealership in the heart of the Merrimack Valley, and we're building our parts and service operation from the ground up. ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring for both Parts Manager and Assistant Parts Manager to lead our brand-new Mopar parts department. You'll build the counter, control the inventory, grow wholesale, and keep the shop moving. Whether you're ready to run the department or ready to step up as an assistant, if you know CDJR / Mopar parts and how to run a clean, profitable operation, we want to talk to you.
Compensation:
$55,000-$95,000 per year, paid weekly (base + performance bonuses on gross, obsolescence control, and wholesale growth). Assistant Parts Manager roles sit at the lower end of the range; Parts Manager roles at the top.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead (or support the leadership of) the daily operation of the Mopar parts department — retail counter, back counter, wholesale, and internal Own or support inventory control — stocking guides, receiving, cycle counts, obsolescence, and monthly reconciliation Coach and develop parts counter and wholesale staff; monitor productivity and CSI Grow the wholesale business — quote, price, and service body shops, independents, and fleet accounts Support the shop with fast, accurate back-counter service that keeps technicians turning hours Manage warranty parts, cores, returns, and manufacturer credit claims per Mopar / FCA guidelines Hit or exceed monthly targets for gross, turn, fill rate, and obsolescence % Partner with the Service Manager on parts availability, stocking mix, and campaign planning Maintain a clean, organized, audit-ready parts department
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior dealership Parts Manager, Assistant Parts Manager, or senior Parts Counter experience required CDJR / Mopar / Chrysler parts experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of a dealership DMS (Reynolds, CDK, Dealertrack, or similar) and electronic parts catalogs Solid understanding of parts inventory management — stocking guides, days supply, turn, and obsolescence control Proven ability to coach and develop a parts team Strong wholesale / business-to-business acumen Excellent customer service, phone, and communication skills Highly organized, accurate, and detail-oriented Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
