We are seeking candidates who have a Bachelors Degree within Chemical Engineering and 5+ years of Procurement or industry experience to manage all phases of the purchasing operation of raw materials. Madawaska, Maine job type: Permanent salary: $70,000 - 100,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Promotes a proactive safety culture across the mill through direct engagement, personal oversight of safe work practices, and active participation in safety meetings. Ensures strict adherence to food safety standards by applying HACCP principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), immediately reporting system anomalies to designated personnel. Modernizes purchasing and inventory management operations by training staff on industry best practices and strategic sourcing techniques. Negotiates and oversees vendor contracts and purchase agreements to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms. Directs raw material procurement and bulk inventory levels to guarantee seamless production while minimizing holding costs. Directs material flow to maintain optimal stock levels, balancing working capital with high on-time customer delivery rates. Directs daily logistics and pickup scheduling in close coordination with the transportation department. Oversees the IQ Invoicing workflow to verify billing accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely vendor processing. Facilitates smooth operational communication between inventory management, color prep, and beater room operators. Drives the development of the annual operating budget, tracking ongoing performance to identify and execute cost-saving initiatives. Manages month-end and year-end financial close activities for supply chain and inventory accounting. Represents department needs during daily mill production, contractor performance, project scheduling, and executive business reviews. #randstadengineering qualifications: Experience level: Experienced Minimum 5 years of experience
