Logistics/Warehouse Manager

Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations supporting our agricultural products and supply distribution. This role is responsible for managing inventory, coordinating seed and chemical deliveries, seed treatment application, ensuring compliance with agricultural and safety regulations, and maintaining efficient shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and experience working in an agricultural, seed, fertilizer, or crop protection environment. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations
  • Oversee daily receiving, storage, handling, and distribution of agricultural products including seed, crop protection chemicals, and related supplies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and proper product storage conditions.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Seed Treatment Application
  • Oversee and perform seed treatment application in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Calibrate, operate, and maintain seed treatment equipment.
  • Ensure accurate application rates and proper chemical mixing procedures.
  • Maintain detailed treatment records including product lot numbers and application documentation.
  • Monitor treated seed handling, labeling, and storage to ensure compliance and quality control.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and PPE requirements are followed during treatment processes. Seed & Chemical Delivery Coordination
  • Schedule and coordinate delivery of seed and crop protection chemicals to farms and customer locations.
  • Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and compliance for chemical transport.
  • Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Maintain delivery logs and ensure required regulatory paperwork is completed.
  • Oversee safe loading and unloading procedures for regulated agricultural products. Inventory Management
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
  • Ensure proper lot number tracking, labeling, and rotation of seed and chemical products.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and sales teams to forecast and manage seasonal inventory demands. Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and applicable agricultural and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain proper storage and handling procedures for crop protection chemicals and regulated materials.
  • Maintain a safe warehouse and work environment
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting for regulated agricultural products.
  • Maintain required applicator licensing and certifications as applicable. Logistics Coordination
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers, vendors, and carriers.
  • Manage freight scheduling and documentation.
  • Ensure timely deliveries to customers and farm locations. Qualifications Education & Experience
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • Warehouse management experience in agriculture, seed, or chemical distribution strongly preferred.
  • Experience with seed treatment equipment and chemical handling required or strongly preferred. Skills & Competencies
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of agricultural products and seasonal demand cycles.
  • Understanding of DOT, OSHA, EPA, and state agricultural regulations.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • CDL or ability to obtain CDL preferred (if applicable). Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs.
  • Ability to work in warehouse conditions including heat, cold, dust, and exposure to agricultural chemicals (with proper PPE).
  • Comfortable working extended hours during peak agricultural seasons. What We Offer
