Vice President of Supply Chain & Manufacturing Position Summary The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and logistics. This position ensures materials are available to support production, inventory accuracy is maintained, and customer orders are shipped on time. The Supply Chain Supervisor leads continuous improvement initiatives and collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Service, and Sales to meet company objectives. Essential Responsibilities Purchasing & Supplier Management Purchase raw materials, packaging, and indirect supplies. Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and cost. Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules when appropriate. Resolve supplier shortages and delivery issues. Develop relationships with existing and new suppliers. Logistics & Shipping Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments. Manage freight carriers and transportation providers. Monitor shipping costs and identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure customer shipments are completed accurately and on time. Coordinate expedited shipments when necessary. Production Support Work closely with Manufacturing to ensure material availability. Prioritize material movement to support production schedules. Coordinate production shortages and expedite critical materials. Participate in production planning meetings. Leadership Monitor employee performance and provide coaching. Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Promote a positive and accountable work environment. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs). Reduce waste and improve inventory accuracy. Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs). Safety & Compliance Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Ensure employees use required PPE and follow safety procedures. Conduct warehouse safety inspections. Support OSHA audits and maintain required documentation. Ensure forklift operators maintain current certifications. Promote safe material handling practices. QualificationsEducation Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered. Experience 5+ years of logistics or supply chain experience. 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Experience managing inventory and warehouse operations. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
