JOB SUMMARY

Ricochet Gear seeks a hands-on Materials Manager to ensure the uninterrupted flow of materials supporting the manufacture of protective gear and sewn products. This position owns inventory planning, purchase order execution, ERP transactions, inventory accuracy, and receiving operations while partnering closely with Production, Operations, and Finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following: Maintain in-stock inventory levels for raw materials, components, packaging, and operating supplies. Plan material requirements and monitor safety stock, reorder points, and lead times. Create, issue, track, and manage purchase orders through receipt and reconciliation. Ensure materials are available to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments. Serve as a key user and champion of the company ERP system. Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, receiving, and supplier master data. Manage daily receiving activities and supervise one direct report. Oversee cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory adjustments. Resolve supplier shipping discrepancies, shortages, and routine quality issues. Develop inventory and purchasing reports to support operational decision-making. Drive continuous improvement in inventory control and ERP utilization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field or commensurate with experience. 2+ years of inventory, purchasing, materials, or manufacturing experience specifically involving planning. Experience with ERP systems and inventory management tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience supervising employees preferred. Manufacturing or cut-and-sew experience is highly desirable.
