Inventory Supervisor Tower Road Distributors Leading grocery distributor is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to lead daily inventory activity in a fast-paced, ambient dry grocery warehouse. This is a hands-on position. The supervisor will work alongside inventory staff on the warehouse floor, resolve issues as they arise, and provide accurate updates to management and our third-party partners. The right candidate can lead a team, verify the details behind inventory discrepancies, and communicate clearly when an issue affects product availability or warehouse operations. Responsibilities Direct daily assignments, coach inventory staff, and follow up to ensure work is completed accurately and on time. Work on the warehouse floor with the team to investigate inventory discrepancies, misplaced product, low-stock items, and location issues. Verify physical counts against system records and document corrections according to company procedures. Coordinate with Receiving, Shipping, Operations, and warehouse personnel to resolve inventory issues that affect unloading, storage, selection, or loading. Monitor product on the dock and in reserve locations, including items requiring special attention or follow-up. Review inventory records and reports for accuracy, completeness, and unresolved issues. Report inventory status, discrepancies, corrective actions, and operational concerns to Tower Road management and designated third-party partners. Escalate damaged, questionable, or nonconforming product and ensure it is held, identified, and documented according to company procedures. Support food safety, SQF, customer requirements, and audit readiness through accurate records and consistent follow-up. Provide a clear handoff of open issues and priorities at the end of the shift. Qualifications Warehouse inventory experience and supervisory or team lead experience preferred Experience with warehouse management systems, inventory applications, databases, and Microsoft Office preferred. Ability to investigate discrepancies, verify counts, maintain accurate records, and explain findings clearly. Strong communication and follow-up skills when working with employees, management, and third-party partners. Ability to set priorities and make timely decisions in a busy warehouse. Familiarity with food safety, product holds, and warehouse inspection procedures preferred. Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are a plus. Work Environment This position involves regular time on the warehouse floor as well as computer-based reporting. The supervisor must be able to walk warehouse aisles, inspect product and pallet locations, and work in an active warehouse with varying temperatures.
