Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented OEM Parts Manager to lead our parts procurement, inventory control, and supplier relationships. This pivotal role involves managing the entire lifecycle of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, ensuring seamless supply chain operations, optimizing inventory levels, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong automotive, mechanical, and technical knowledge, and demonstrate excellent negotiation skills to maximize efficiency and profitability. Responsibilities Oversee the procurement and sourcing of OEM parts, ensuring timely availability to meet customer demands and production schedules. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to secure optimal value. Maintain accurate inventory levels through rigorous inventory management practices, utilizing ERP systems and order management software. Coordinate with team to oversee shipping & receiving operations, storage, and distribution of parts. Utilize automotive equipment repair knowledge to verify parts compatibility and quality standards. Implement demand planning strategies based on sales trends, manufacturing needs, and dealership requirements. Monitor supply chain performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and develop solutions to improve overall efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety standards. Support procurement management activities by maintaining detailed records. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting dealerships, repair shops, and internal teams with parts inquiries and order management. Skills Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including sourcing, procurement, logistics, and inventory control. Proven experience managing supplier relationships with effective negotiation skills. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools, OEM specifications, auto body repair processes, and automotive service standards. Proficiency in parts management systems and order management systems. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of equipment repair procedures including auto body components. Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail for accurate record keeping in inventory management systems. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred. Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills across diverse teams. Experience in dealership environment is highly desirable.
