full-time About the Opportunity A well-established manufacturing and distribution organization is seeking an Inventory Manager to oversee inventory accounting, inventory controls, standard costing, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role offers high visibility within the organization and the opportunity to partner closely with finance, operations, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of inventory management, manufacturing accounting, ERP systems experience, and process improvement capabilities. Key Responsibilities Manage inventory accounting, inventory valuation, and inventory control processes. Analyze inventory activity, adjustments, reconciliations, and variances. Support and maintain standard costing methodologies. Monitor raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods inventory. Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle count programs. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Develop inventory-related reporting, metrics, and analyses. Partner with manufacturing and operational leaders to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency. Assist with ERP and warehouse management system initiatives. Support month-end close activities related to inventory and costing. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred. Experience in inventory accounting, cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, inventory management, or a related field. Strong understanding of inventory controls and inventory reconciliation processes. Experience with standard costing in a manufacturing environment preferred. Advanced Excel skills. ERP system experience required. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset. Preferred Experience Manufacturing environment experience. Experience with BOMs, routings, WIP, and inventory valuation. CPA or CPA-track candidates welcome. Exposure to warehouse management systems and reporting tools. Why Consider This Opportunity?
