Logistics Manager Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee inbound and onsite logistics operations for a large industrial refinery project. This role will manage logistics coordinators, traffic control, and carrier/vendor interfaces to ensure all equipment and materials arrive onsite, are properly staged, and reach the workfront in the correct sequence without impacting construction operations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all inbound and onsite logistics activities for the project Manage logistics coordinators, traffic control personnel, carriers, and vendors Coordinate delivery scheduling, material staging, laydown areas, and workfront movements Manage heavy-haul deliveries and large equipment moves Ensure materials and equipment arrive on time and in the correct sequence Coordinate closely with Procurement, Warehouse, and Construction teams Monitor site traffic flow and logistics activities to maintain safe and efficient operations Resolve delivery, staging, and logistics conflicts in real time Track logistics activities and identify potential schedule constraints before they impact construction Hold logistics personnel and vendors accountable for safety, scheduling, and execution Support overall project scheduling and construction sequencing
Requirements:
5+ years of logistics, construction logistics, or industrial project experience Experience managing logistics teams, coordinators, vendors, and carriers Experience with large-scale industrial, refinery, manufacturing, or similar projects preferred Strong understanding of material delivery, laydown, staging, and construction sequencing Experience coordinating heavy-haul and large equipment moves Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-driven construction environment MUST have OSHA 30
Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the United States Must have reliable transportation to the job site Must be able to pass background and drug screen
