Position Summary:
The Roll-Off Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and scheduling roll-off trucks to complete routes, as well as acting as a central point of communication between drivers and customers to ensure all work is completed in an efficient manner. Typical hours for this position are Monday-Friday 7:00 am-5:00 pm and some Saturdays depending on business needs.
Your Role:
Works with roll-off drivers to schedule services, i.e., same day or next day. Complete all administrative tasks, including regular filing and completing required reports. Continuously monitor team progress throughout the day and confirm jobs are completed efficiently. Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention. Facilitate driver check-in. Perform required data entry and minor customer service responsibilities. Work all assigned shifts from the scheduled start time to the scheduled end time. Take an active role in the improvement of safety and health in the workplace. Maintain reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards. Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide immediate direction to drivers. Acts as primary supervisor to handle minor problems. Recommends discipline to managers. Interacts with drivers throughout the workday to ensure routes are done most efficiently while maintaining an acceptable level of customer satisfaction.
