Job Responsibilities:
Manage drivers day by communicating with drivers, planners and CSR's to schedule driver pickup and deliveries to customers, taking into account the delivery deadline, driver HOS, driver home time, equipment availability, and other outside factors such as weather, traffic, etc. Monitor the movement of trucks and freight from pickup to delivery by communicating with drivers. Monitor, prioritize and resolve any issues that may affect scheduled times for pickup or delivery caused by mechanical problems with trucks, delays due to traffic or weather challenges, HOS issues or changes requested by the customer regarding times or locations. Record changes in ETA, PTA, home time, etc... in TMW Suite software and communicate any critical changes with Planners and CSR's. Work with drivers to educate and optimize miles and MPG to help them reach their established goals. Notify drivers when required paperwork is missing, when their equipment is scheduled for preventive maintenance, etc. Other duties as specified.
Job Requirements :
High school Diploma or GED with previous office experience. Strong team player with the ability to stay calm and function in fast paced and challenging environment. Preferred computer skills in MS Outlook and Excel. Experience with TMW Suite and Samsara preferred. Strong communication & listening skills with the ability to calm an upset driver and relate to drivers on a personal level. Strong critical thinking, decision making and problem resolution skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills. Ability to self-manage, multi-task, organize and prioritize to meet tight deadlines. Ability to think on one's feet and make decisions quickly. Strong math, as well as read, write and speak English. Work approximately every 17th Saturday from 8-noon is required. This position is an in on site in the office position
Preferred:
Knowledge of FMCSA Rules and Regulations pertaining to commercial drivers and contract truck load carriers including solid understanding of HOS rules. TMW Suite software and Samsara experience a plus.
Pay:
$52,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
