Job Description

Our client is seeking a Transportation Manager . This is a direct-hire leadership opportunity with a well-established organization seeking a hands-on transportation professional to lead daily operations, drive performance, and support continued growth. Key Responsibilities Lead daily transportation and fleet operations. Manage, coach, and develop drivers, supervisors, and support staff. Improve driver engagement, retention, and overall team performance. Monitor operational metrics, routing efficiency, labor utilization, and service levels. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and cost control. Ensure compliance with DOT and applicable regulatory requirements. Oversee fleet readiness and partner with maintenance providers to maximize uptime. Utilize transportation technology, telematics, and reporting tools to support operational decision-making. Qualifications 5+ years of transportation, fleet, logistics, or delivery operations leadership experience. Proven success leading drivers and frontline transportation teams. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation safety, and compliance. Experience with routing, telematics, fleet management, and transportation technology. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license required; CDL knowledge is a plus. Ability to work on-site and occasionally support off-shift operations. Compensation & Benefits $100,000 - $120,000 annual salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and paid holidays
